King Arthur was a legendary British leader of the late fifth and early sixth centuries, who, led the defence of Britain against the Saxons in the early sixth century.

Arthur appears either as a great warrior defending Britain from human and supernatural enemies or as a magical figure.

The creator of Arthur was Nennius, with his history "Historia Britonum", written in the 9th century.

Tintagel is the village where Arthur was born and is one of the most visited places of Britain for the legends surrounding King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Arthur was fatally wounded in the battle against Mordred in Dover.
